You Know What They Say About Intentions...

I love that with homeschooling we are not confined to the public school calendar.  (except our oldest who is in public high school)  This makes the New Year more like an actual New Year for us.  We had been trying to partner with our district's homeschool program and failed miserably.  I am excited to enter 2012 with that behind us.  Here are my homeschooling intentions for the upcoming school year.

1. Outdoors daily
2. Study/Observe my children
3. Unplug more
4. Take notes
5. Smile when I don't want to
6. Enjoy nutrition
7. Wake up before my children do

Tomorrow would be our first day back to "school", although I hesitate to differentiate "school day" from any day.  I planned on having a few new things prepared and on the shelves, but instead have been sick the past three days.  I am reminded of a favorite saying, "the only thing we can change is our expectations".
