I have posted we are studying Asia. I love Montessori continent boxes-BUT I have never been one to be boxed in. The continent boxes are great additions to your homeschool studies, I simply encourage you to not limit yourselves. We are homeschoolers, the world (including continents) is our oyster!
We took advantage of our Portland Japanese Garden membership this weekend and attended their New Year's celebration. In addition to the beautiful garden was calligraphy, tea, snacks and demonstrations.
This inspired us to visit a near by Japanese market and purchase the ingredients needed to make sushi.
We also bought snacks to go with our afternoon tea. Each afternoon when Dotty gets up from her nap Pearl and Grace have a tea prepared. We are sampling different Asian teas-so far chai is their favorite.
